SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has announced that BYU guards TJ Haws and Connor Harding have been named to the 2019-20 WCC Men's Basketball All-Academic Team. Haws is one of five student-athletes making a repeat appearance on the WCC All-Academic Team.

Haws and San Francisco’s Jordan Ratinho earned their third and final selection to the WCC All-Academic First Team. LMU’s Erik Johansson, Gonzaga’s Corey Kispert and San Francisco’s Charles Minlend make their second-straight appearance on the first team.

In addition to the WCC All-Academic honors, Haws earned a spot on the 2019-20 CoSIDA Academic All-District 8 First Team for the second-straight year. He now advances on to the national ballot for consideration for Academic All-America honors.

Haws and Harding have helped the No. 17/18 Cougars to a 23-7 overall record and second place in the WCC at 12-3. Haws is averaging 14.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, a team-best 5.6 assists and 1.3 steals per game. He is also second on the team with 58 3-point field goals.

Harding is one of BYU’s top contributors off the bench, averaging 6.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists while shooting 51.5 percent from the field and 43.4 percent from 3-point range.

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to their team.
