Cougars look to extend win streak Saturday at San Diego

BYU Game Notes

Riding a five-game win streak, BYU men's basketball will play at San Diego Saturday at 7 p.m. PST in Jenny Craig Pavilion. The Cougars are currently second in the WCC standings at 9-3, one game ahead of Pacific (8-4) and 1.5 ahead of Saint Mary's (7-4).

BYU's game at San Diego will be televised live on CBS Sports Network. The radio broadcast will be available live on the BYU Sports Network, BYU Radio – Sirius XM 143/89.1 FM HD2 and KSL 102.7 FM/1160 AM.

BYU Storylines

  • BYU has made double-digit 3-pointers the last six games – the tied for the longest streak of consecutive games with 10-plus 3s in team history, set earlier this season. The previous record was three-straight games with 10-plus 3s.
  • Alex Barcello drained 6 of 8 from 3-point range at Loyola Marymount, a new career for made 3s. He has made 18 of 24 from 3-point range since Jan. 25. As a team, BYU hit a school record 18 from downtown, surpassing the previous record of 17. In addition to Barcello’s six, TJ Haws made four, Connor Harding hit three, Jake Toolson and Zac Seljaas has two apiece and Evan Troy had one, the 18th make of the night.
  • BYU is second in the WCC standings at 9-3 and has a one-game lead over Pacific and a 1.5 game lead over Saint Mary’s. Nationally, BYU is 15th in the Kenpom.com rankings and has an NCAA NET ranking of 21 (as of Feb. 13).
