Why did you choose BYU? I came to BYU because of the environment. I came here because it’s just a group of good guys that want to get better and there’s a coaching staff that loved my game and believed in me.
When did you start playing basketball? I’ve always loved basketball. My first word was ball. I started playing AAU ball when I was in third grade and I’ve just always loved it.
If you could play another sport besides basketball, what would you pick? I played football until high school but I always loved basketball more.
What do you do when you’re not playing basketball? Hanging out with my wife.
What is your favorite movie? Coach Carter or More Than a Game
What is your favorite TV show? That’s tough. I just finished watching the Black List and that’s pretty good and I’m on Once Upon A Time right now and that’s pretty good too.
What is your favorite thing about BYU? My favorite thing about BYU is the same reason why I came here. It’s my teammates. I love playing with these guys and the fans here are great. Playing in front of 18,000 people every night is awesome and an unbelievable experience. Outside of basketball it’s an unbelievable environment. There’s a culture that accepts nothing other than your best self.
What’s something unique about you? I’m a pretty open book but I love anime.
What is your favorite sport besides basketball? Women’s volleyball. My wife plays volleyball at UVU.
