Why did you choose BYU? It’s always been a dream school of mine since I was little. I grew up watching them and loved the program.

When did you start playing basketball? Since I popped out the womb it feels like. My dad is a basketball junkie and my mom played at Utah State so it runs in the family.

If you could play another sport besides basketball, what would you pick? I played football my whole life until eighth grade and then stopped.

Who are your role models? I look up to my mom and dad and grandparents. As a role model in the NBA probably Kevin Love. They have good inspirational stories. Kevin Love came out recently about anxiety and depression, and that takes a big person. And my mom has always been there for me. They’ve always done big things for me.

What are your pregame rituals? I usually take a nap and I also listen to music and jam out a little bit and get super serious.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? I served part of my mission in Australia so I’d go back there and tour it instead of serving.

What is your favorite thing about BYU? My teammates. All these dudes get along so well. There’s no head butting or anything like that. The coaches are great too. It’s like a family environment.

What is your favorite movie? Probably Lord of the Rings because it’s a trilogy. I don’t really have a favorite though, it depends on the category.

What is your favorite TV show? Friends or New Girl.
