Bryant and Collinsworth to compete in NBA Summer League

LAS VEGAS – Former BYU men’s basketball players Elijah Bryant and Kyle Collinsworth will compete in the 2018 NBA Summer League beginning Friday in Las Vegas.

Bryant, a first-team All-West Coast Conference honoree in 2017-18, will play for the Philadelphia 76ers. As a junior in 2017-18, he led the Cougars in scoring at 18.2 points per game while adding 6.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists. Bryant shot 49.4 percent from the field, 41.5 percent from 3-point field goal and 85.0 percent from the free-throw line.

Collinsworth will compete with Dallas after appearing in 32 games and averaged 3.2 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists for the Mavericks in 2017-18. As a senior for BYU in 2015-16, Collinsworth was the WCC Player of the Year. He owns the NCAA single-season and career record for triple-doubles.

Both Dallas and Philadelphia will play three games and will then be seeded into a single-elimination tournament.
