Rose competing in the Infiniti Coaches' Charity Challenge
PROVO, Utah – For the next 10 weeks, BYU basketball coach Dave Rose will compete with the nation's top coaches in the Infiniti Coaches’ Charity Challenge to raise money for the BYU Simmons Center for Cancer Research.
The 48 competing coaches will be counting on their fan bases for votes to advance in the tournament-like competition. Fans can vote for Coach Rose and the Simmons Center three times each day by visiting www.ESPN.com/Infiniti and via posts on Twitter and Instagram.
The coaches receiving the most votes will advance to the next round every few weeks and the top vote-getters will eventually gain a spot in the finals. The winning coach will receive $100,000 toward his charity. Fans can begin voting today.
The first round of voting ends Jan. 21. The 24 coaches with the most votes will advance to round two (Jan. 22-Feb. 11). Round three will include the top 16 coaches (Feb. 12-Feb. 25) and the final round will include the top four coaches (Feb. 26-March 10).

The BYU Simmons Center for Cancer Research (SCCR), an organization composed of distinguished professors in the fields of Chemical Engineering; Chemistry and Biochemistry; Health Sciences; Integrative Biology; Microbiology and Molecular Biology; Nutrition, Dietetics and Food Science; Physiology and Developmental Biology; and Statistics.
