Mika earns NABC All-District honors
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches announced that BYU sophomore Eric Mika has been named to the 2016-17 NABC All-District 9 First Team.
Mika, the USBWA District VIII Player of the Year, an All-West Coast Conference First Team honoree and a second-team CoSIDA Academic All-American, led BYU to a 22-12 record that included a win against the No. 1 team in the nation and a trip to the semifinals of the WCC Championships.
The Alpine, Utah, native averaged 20.3 points, 9.2 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game. He also scored in double figures in all 34 games, totaled 20-plus points 16 times and recorded 17 double-doubles.
