Gonzaga Games Notes

BYU will conclude the 2016-17 regular season with a showdown at West Coast Conference foe No. 1/1 Gonzaga Saturday at 7:15 p.m. PST in the McCarthey Athletic Center. Saturday's game will be televised live on ESPN and broadcast live on the Cougar IMG Sports Network, 102.7 FM/1160 AM and BYU Radio – Sirius XM 143.

BYU Storylines

  • BYU has won the last two seasons at Gonzaga, including a 73-70 win in 2015 when the Bulldogs were ranked No. 3/2 and a 69-68 victory last season when Gonzaga was No. 25/21 in the polls.
  • Elijah Bryant had the best game of his college career Thursday when he hit 10 of 17 from the field, 7 of 12 from 3 and 12 of 12 from the free-throw line. Bryant also added five rebounds, six assists and one block.
  • Braiden Shaw made his first career start Thursday, filling in for an injured Yoeli Childs. Shaw played a career-best 26 minutes and set new career highs with 11 points and two assists while scoring four points.
  • Three Cougars earned WCC All-Academic honors this week. Eric Mika and Davin Guinn were named to the first team while Braiden Shaw earned honorable mention.
