BYU basketball opens the second half of West Coast Conference play with a home contest against Loyola Marymount Saturday in the Marriott Center at 7 p.m. MST. Saturday's game will be televised live on BYUtv and broadcast live on the Cougar IMG Sports Network, 102.7 FM/1160 AM and BYU Radio – Sirius XM 143.

BYU Storylines

  • In the season’s first meeting with Loyola Marymount, BYU overcame an 18-point deficit to win 81-76 in Los Angeles on Dec. 31. Trailing 76-70 with just under three minutes to go, the Cougars used an 11-0 run that included a 3 from Nick Emery and a pair of 3s from TJ Haws to complete the comeback. BYU has won the last seven games against the Lions.
  • Yoeli Childs has posted double-digit boards in three-straight games, with 14 against Pepperdine, 14 at Pacific and 11 at Santa Clara. He is third in the WCC in rebounds per game at 8.3.
  • BYU is 11-1 at home this season and 171-18 (90.5) in the Marriott Center during coach Dave Rose’s 12-year tenure. The Cougars have won their last eight games at home.
