Toolson to transfer from BYU

PROVO, Utah – BYU coach Dave Rose announced today that guard Jake Toolson will transfer from the program.

Toolson, a 6-foot-5 sophomore from Gilbert, Arizona, played in 10 games and started five in 2015-16 before taking a medical leave of absence from the team in December. He averaged 3.9 points and 1.6 rebounds while shooting 45.5 percent from the field and 36.8 percent from 3.

"We appreciate all that Jake has done here at BYU,” Rose said. "We wish him all the best as he moves forward with his career."
