BYU celebrates 2015-16 season at annual banquet

PROVO, Utah – BYU men’s basketball celebrated the 2015-16 season at its annual banquet Monday night at the Nu Skin Innovation Center in downtown Provo.

The 2015-16 season was highlighted by 26 wins, a trip to the semifinals of the National Invitational Tournament at Madison Square Garden and a second-consecutive win nationally ranked Gonzaga.

With 26 wins this season, BYU has now won 20-plus games in all 11 seasons under coach Dave Rose, including eight seasons with 25-plus wins. The Cougars have also advanced to the postseason in all 11 seasons under Rose.

Individual highlights during 2015-16 included Kyle Collinsworth being named the West Coast Conference Player of the Year, earning Associated Press All-America honorable mention and NABC and USBWA All-District honors. Chase Fischer was named All-WCC First Team and Nick Emery earned All-WCC Second Team and Freshman Team honors.

Voice of the Cougars Greg Wrubell served as master of ceremonies and listed the numerous highlights, awards and milestones achieved by the team in 2015-16.
