Fredette named MVP of NBA D-League All-Star Game

TORONTO – Former BYU All-American and National Player of the Year Jimmer Fredette was named the MVP of the NBA D-League All-Star Game after scoring 35 points and leading the East to a 128-124 victory over the West. 

Fredette, who plays for the Westchester Knicks, came off the bench and in 25 minutes hit 13 of 19 from the field, 6 of 12 from 3 and 3 of 3 from the free-throw line. He also added six rebounds, eight assists and one steal. Fredette's 35 points are a D-League All-Star Game record.

In 27 games with the Knicks this season, Fredette is averaging 22.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.7 steals while shooting 48.7 percent from the field, 42.7 percent from 3 and 91.4 percent from the free-throw line.
