BYU at Long Beach State Game Notes
Coming off a season-opening win against Utah Valley, BYU basketball will play at Long Beach State in the ESPN Tip-Off Marathon Monday at 10:45 p.m. PST in Walter Pyramid. The game will be televised live on ESPN2 and broadcast live on the Cougar IMG Sports Network, KSL NewsRadio 102.7 FM/1160 AM and BYU Radio – Sirius XM 143.
BYU Storylines
- BYU’s game against Long Beach State is its second appearance in the ESPN Tip-Off Marathon. The Cougars defeated Stanford in the Tip-Off Marathon in Palo Alto 112-103 on Nov. 11, 2013.
- BYU opened the 2015-16 season with an 85-54 win over Utah Valley. The Cougars posted 68 rebounds, the most ever by BYU in the Marriott Center. Junior Kyle Davis had 20 boards in his Cougar debut, a BYU record in a season opener.
- Coach Dave Rose is BYU’s all-time leader in winning percentage at 74.6 percent and second in career wins at 258. He has led the Cougars to 10-straight 20-win seasons and 10-straight postseason appearances, including eight NCAA tournament appearances during that stretch.
