BYU Coach Dave Rose

"I have to give a lot of credit to the Santa Clara team. This was a well played game on their part. It was hard fought battle. It’s the kind of game you expect this time of year in March. We ended up making one more play than they did."

"We’re happy for the win and look forward to our next challenge and the test we have in playing Portland on Monday night. The challenge we have is right in front of us."

"Every play we called they (Santa Clara) defended it differently."

BYU senior guard Tyler Haws

"We didn’t want the game to come down to a last-second shot, but it is always fun to make a shot like that for your team."

"We fought in the second half. We found ourselves in the second half and I’m happy to win the game."

"We weren’t really ourselves during the first half, but we found ourselves in the second half and were able to make the necessary plays to win the game."

"At this point in the year, you just want to win and keep moving. I am so happy we got the win and can keep playing again on Monday."

"We still have a lot to prove and every game we are fighting for our lives. We are focused on winning the last game and leaving it out on the floor."

BYU junior guard Kyle Collinsworth

"As a point guard, at the end of the game I look for Tyler (Haws). He is a great player."

"I just try to focus on all of the hard work I put in. I don’t think about my injury. My knee feels good and it is the best it has felt."

"We need to be better at getting a lead and holding it. We didn’t have that tonight, but we will for the next game."

"We are not skipping games. We are taking it one game at a time and one practice at a time."
