SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has announced the bracket, game times and broadcast plans for the 2014 WCC Basketball Championships at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.

This marks the first year for the WCC as a 10-team conference, and the league has adopted a more traditional 10-team bracket. Seeds 7-10 will play in the tournament's opening round on Thursday, March 6, with the quarterfinals on March 8. There will be no games on Sunday, March 9, and the tournament resumes with the semifinals on March 10. The champion will be crowned on Tuesday, March 11. All nine games will be televised live nationwide on BYUtv, ESPN2 or ESPN, and all nine will be streamed live online.

No. 2 seed BYU will take on the winner of No. 7 Portland and No. 10 Loyola Marymount in the quarterfinals on Saturday, March 8, at 2 p.m. PST in the Orleans Arena. The game will be televised live on BYUtv and broadcast on the Cougar IMG Sports Network on KSL Newsradio 102.7 FM and 1160 AM.

BYU and San Francisco tied for second place with identical 13-5 marks. The Cougars will be the second seed by virtue of their head-to-head-sweep of the Dons. Gonzaga won its 13th WCC men's regular season title in the last 14 years, posting a 15-3 conference mark. Saint Mary's is the fourth seed, and will open tournament play against fifth seed Pepperdine in Saturday's quarterfinal round.

San Diego and Portland finished tied for sixth at 7-11 in conference play, and the Toreros earned the sixth seed and accompanying opening round bye due to their head-to-head sweep of the Pilots. West Coast Conference newcomer Pacific and Santa Clara tied for eighth place, and the Tigers will be the eight seed as a result of their win over second seed BYU. Pacific and Santa Clara will square off in Thursday's opening round. Loyola Marymount is the 10th seed and will face Portland on Thursday night.

For the second-straight year, every game from the 2014 West Coast Conference Championships will be nationally televised. Four games can be seen live in well over 60 million homes nationwide via cable and satellite on BYUtv. Those games will also be streamed live on BYUtvSports.com and TheW.tv, the West Coast Conference's new available-anywhere platform.

The two men's evening quarterfinals will be televised on ESPN2 beginning at 6 p.m. On Monday, one men's semifinal will air at 6 p.m. on ESPN, with the other semifinal immediately to follow on ESPN2. The order of Monday's semifinals is to be determined following Saturday's games.

On Tuesday, at 6 p.m., the West Coast Conference men's championship game will air live on ESPN. All six ESPN Network telecasts can also be seen live on WatchESPN.com.

The winner of the 2014 West Coast Conference Basketball Championships will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
