Rose to be inducted into Dixie State Hall of Fame

SAINT GEORGE, Utah – BYU basketball coach Dave Rose will be inducted into the sixth Dixie State University Athletics Hall of Fame on Saturday, Sept. 14. Rose will be inducted along with Linda Huddleston (women's soccer), Ken Jolley (Administrative) and the 1963 football team.

Rose was the head coach at Dixie from 1990-97 and compiled a 167-57 record while guiding six of his seven teams to top-20 rankings, including a national ranking as high as No. 2. He earned three conference titles and was honored by his peers as the 1993 Scenic West Athletic Conference Coach of the Year. While at Dixie, Rose coached three NJCAA All-Americans as well as long-time NBA player Keon Clark.

Since becoming head coach of the BYU men's basketball program in 2005, Rose has guided the Cougars to a 209-66 record, eight 20-win season and eight trips to the postseason, including six-straight NCAA tournament bids from 2007-12.

Reservations are being accepted for the Hall of Fame Banquet on Sept. 14 in the Grand Ballroom at the Kenneth N. Gardner Center. The event will begin at noon.
 
The cost of the event is $30 per individual, with tables of eight available for $240. Reservations and payment are required in advance.
