Davies shines in Summer League finale
LAS VEGAS – Brandon Davies had his best game as a professional to date as the LA Clippers wrapped up NBA Summer League play on Friday with a 91-80 loss to the New York Knicks. One of the most productive big men in BYU history, Davies totaled 14 points, six rebounds, two assists, three steals and one block.
Davies made his first start of Summer League and scored five points in the first half. His best quarter scoring the ball was the fourth when he hit back-to-back jumpers early and then a three with 3:39 to go. For the game he hit 5 of 11 from the field, 1 of 2 from three and 3 of 3 from the free throw line. Davies saw 28 minutes of action, also a Summer League high for the rookie.
The Clippers finished Summer League play with a 1-4 record.
