Brandon Davies' debut, Clippers win
LAS VEGAS - Former Cougar Brandon Davies and the Los Angeles Clippers took the 90-83 win against the Atlanta Hawks as Davies debuted in his first NBA Summer League game in Las Vegas.
Davies checked in for the first time with 3:26 left to play in the first quarter. He totaled four points, five rebounds, two blocks and one assist that led to a 3-pointer in 15 minutes of play. Both of his field goals came in the third quarter on layups and finished the game on 2 of 6 shooting.
The Clippers shot 45.2 percent from the field, 39.1 percent from beyond the arc and grabbed 17 offensive rebounds. They held a 20-point lead, the biggest lead of the game, with 1:36 remaining in the first half.
Davies signed a partially guaranteed one-year contract with the Clippers.
