Head coach Dave Rose
"First off, congratulations to Coach Grier and San Diego. Best of luck to them as they advance in the tournament. As far as my team goes, I thought we competed hard and worked hard tonight. We may not have played as well but a lot of that has to do with San Diego, their size and their ability. Later on in the game, we found a rhythm but just couldn't sustain it. We got the lead a few times but couldn't quite hold on tonight. USD seemed to have an answer for everything."

"Defensively we were way more agressive in the second half and that led to some baskets. We regained our energy and played more man defense. All of those things led to us playing better and executing on the offensive end. We'll go back and look at film but down the stretch we needed to finish. Give credit to San Diego – they were extremely aggressive tonight, challening everything we put out there."

Tyler Haws
"Anytime you take a week off you can expect a little rust. We talked all week about coming out and being ready to fight but it wasn't enough. It's disappointing."

Craig Cusick
"Tonight was difficult being down the way we were. All the credit goes to San Diego for how they played and executed their game plan. They didn't let us back in it. They didn't make it easy for us to come back at all."
