• Tyler Haws finished with a team-leading 24 points for his 29th game in double figures this season and 20th with 20-plus points. Haws now has 1,046 career points, moving him past Bernie Fryer for 43rd all-time at BYU for career points.
• Tyler Haws shot 14 for 14 from the free throw line for his fourth game this season to shoot 100 percent from the line while attempting at least 10. He now has five such games in his career, the most in BYU history. His four in a season are also a BYU record.
• Matt Carlino finished with 11 points for his 16th game in double figures this season. 13 of his 16 double-digit games have been in WCC games. Carlino also contributed 7 assists to give him 252 career assists, good for 21st all-time at BYU after passing Chris Nikchevich.
• Brandon Davies finished with 11 points for his 30th game in double figures this season. Davies also contributed 8 rebounds to give him 794 total career rebounds, good for 10th all-time at BYU and puts him just 7 away from tying 9th place.

"We had to hit some big free throws tonight to stay ahead. We made some mistakes tonight uncharacteristic of ourselves and we'll have to look at those. The most important thing is that we won. This game really shows how good of a coach Max Good is. LMU hasn't won a game in a long time but they could've won tonight. They played us really tough. I give them a lot of credit for how well they played in a tough year they're having."

"Today was a long day waiting for this game to start because of so many factors. We wanted the guys to be ready, and the coaches had to do a lot to make the team understand this game would be tougher than the last two. We knew LMU would be a challenge and we knew we needed to give a lot of effort after two tough games for us."

"With Brandon and a few of our other guys in foul trouble tonight, we got some great bench points. Josh, in particular, was a bright spot for us. The last couple teams we've played have had big bigs so that's been tough for him but it was great to see him on the court tonight. I thought tonight we needed to play some extra minutes from everyone in the first half. We wanted to have Tyler's legs fresh for the end of the game, and also Brandon and others. So we used our bench and they came through for us."

"Anytime you can get a win on the road it feels good. Coach Rose had challenged us to not be discouraged, and to play tough tonight. I'm glad we were able to do that and get the win." 

"It's a cool thing to be the scoring leader but I'm more concerned about our team and doing what I can to help us get better. We're ready for a run in the tournament, we're in a good place. We all just work for the team. Coach Rose is great about consistency – making sure we're consistent – and he gets good teams in here every year so he can do that."
