BYU head coach Dave Rose
"Tonight they were good. There are a lot of issues for us that we need to correct but you have to give credit to San Diego for the plays, the big plays, they made to hold us back. We got into trouble at the start of the second half but tried to make a comeback. Playing from behind, you can't make the mistakes we made. It was a winnable game, there's no question about that."

"I'm proud of how Brandon played tonight – he was agressive in the second half after foul trouble in the first. Our guys got it to him and he scored for us. That's a guy who's just tyring to will his team to win."

"We just came up short tonight and a lot of it was San Diego making plays when we kept coming up short. In the first half we gave them some easy shots and in the second we did a better job of not doing that, but they even made the difficult shots. It crushed our momentum but not the spirit of our guys – we kept fghting."

Tyler Haws
"This one hurts – any loss is tough but we really can't come out like that if we want to win. We started the game well but didn't come out strong and didn't execute our game plan."

"Coach talked a lot about rebounding and making those hussle plays at halftime. We got a few in the second half but we weren't doing it in the first half so it didn't end up helping us."

"We got down by too much in the second half and guys were trying to do too much. We need to get back to our pace and I know we'll do that going forward. We'll bounce back and be ready for Saturday."
