Tyler Haws
"It feels good to get a win. We’ve been on the other end of a close game like this so it’s nice to be on the winning side this time. We came out a little sluggish in the first half and wanted to come out stronger in the second. I’m proud of how everyone played and chipped in tonight."
"Everyone made big shots tonight – it was a great team effort going down the stretch to be able to win. I’m always going to do whatever I can for the team so if that means making shots late in the game then I'll do my best."
"When Brandon is performing well it creates so many opportunities for everyone else, on offense and defense. He really can do it all out there."
Head coach Dave Rose
"I knew this was going to be a real challenge for us, especially after the way we struggled the first time we played them. We really competed tonight though. Once we got that lead I thought our guys got on top of it and it felt good to get that lead down the stretch."
"Tonight wasn't a superb offensive of defensive effort but it was a great competitive win. The guys really played for each other tonight, once we figured things out a little bit. Brandon was so consistent for us tonight."
"We knew this was going to be a real grind. Pepperdine is such a well-coached team and they push to play their game. It felt good to get a win playing a little bit out of our element and our guys did well adjusting."
"I’m really proud of the guys finding a way to win this game. We have a few issues to address, definitely, but we’ll take this win and go home to get ready for Santa Clara."
