More All-America honors for Stephenson and Van Noy; first for Ansah

CLEVELAND, Ohio - BYU punter Riley Stephenson and linebacker Kyle Van Noy were both named to the Phil Steele All-America Third Team announced today. Earlier in the week, defensive lineman Ezekiel Ansah was named an honorable mention All-America selection by Pro Football Weekly.

Both Stephenson and Van Noy have received several All-America accolades following the conclusion of the regular season. Stephenson has been named to the Associated Press Second Team, CBSSports.com Second Team and SI.com Second Team to go along with his Phil Steele Third-Team honor. Van Noy has been named to the CBSSports.com Second Team, AP Third Team and was an SI.com honorable mention.

Stephenson is No. 2 nationally in punting, averaging 47.3 yards. He is part of a BYU special teams unit that is No. 2 nationally in net punting at 42.2 yards. He leads the nation with 26 punts of over 50 yards and is second with 24 inside the 20-yard line.

Van Noy, a junior, has 11.5 sacks and 18.5 tackles for loss good for ties at No. 10 and No. 11 in the nation, respectively. He also has five forced fumbles on the year, ranking tied for fourth in the nation. Van Noy has also recorded eight quarterback hurries, five pass breakups, one interception and one blocked punt.

Ansah was named a Pro Football Weekly All-America honorable mention on Tuesday. The senior from Ghana has emerged as a top defender on BYU's third-ranked defense, allowing 266.3 yards per game. Ansah has 57 tackles and is second on the team with 13.0 tackles for loss. He adds 4.5 sacks, eight pass breakups and six quarterback hurries.
