TV plans announced for BYU vs. Oregon State football game

PROVO, Utah — ESPN today announced the television plans for the BYU versus Oregon State game on Saturday, Oct. 13. The BYU homecoming matchup will air regionally on ABC from LaVell Edwards Stadium with kickoff scheduled for 1:30 pm MT (3:30 pm ET). Plans for additional distribution of the game will be announced at a later date.

With the Oregon State game announcement, BYU will play six of its first seven contests on ABC or one of the ESPN networks. In addition, the Weber State game was broadcast nationally on BYUtv.

Of the remaining five games on the 2012 football schedule, the Cougars will face Notre Dame on NBC on October 20 and will play the final two games of the season — at San Jose State on Nov. 17 and at New Mexico State on Nov. 24 — on one of the ESPN networks. Broadcast plans for games at Georgia Tech on Oct. 27 and against Idaho on Nov. 10 will be announced at a later date.
