Broadcast Plans for Thursday, Aug. 30

Below is a list of television and radio programming for the first game of the 2012 football season.

6-7 pm MT (8-9 pm ET) — BYUtv: Cougar Conversations

BYUtv kicks off its coverage of the 2012 football season on Thursday, Aug. 30 at 6 pm (MDT) with an hour-long special called "Cougar Conversations." Hosted by Dave McCann, the special features BYU quarterback Riley Nelson like you've never seen him before. Nelson discusses everything from deciding to attend Utah State, his mission, transfer to BYU and adversity on the path to winning the starting quarterback job.

7-8 pm MT (9-10 pm ET) — BYUtv: Countdown to Kickoff Pre-Game Show

Get ready for the BYU game by watching the hour-long pregame show hosted by Alema Harrington and featuring Dave McCann, Blaine Fowler, Brian Logan, Jan Jorgensen, Greg Wrubell and Robbie Bullough. Hear interviews from current coaches and players, former players, get an ESPN preview, film breakdown and more.

6:30 pm (Pre-Game) 8:15 pm MT (10:15 ET) — KSL Radio: BYU vs. Washington State

1160 AM / 102.7 FM / KSL.com/ BYU Radio (SiriusXM channel 143)

Play-by-play: Greg Wrubell
Analyst: Marc Lyons
Sideline: Nate Meikle

Pre-game coverage will begin at 6:30 pm on KSL Newsradio 102.7 FM/1160 AM, and coverage will continue on KSL until Mitt Romney speaks at the Republican National Convention. At that time, BYU coverage will be switched from KSL to KRSP 103.5 FM (The Arrow) until the Romney speech concludes, at which time the play-by-play will return to KSL. This change impacts only listeners hearing the game over-the-air on 102.7 FM and 1160 AM. KSL’s online stream, KSL apps with “listen live” capability and affiliates receiving the game via satellite will experience no interruption of BYU coverage at any point.

8:15 pm MT (10:15 ET) — ESPN: BYU vs. Washington State

WatchESPN.com: The ESPN broadcast will also be available on WatchESPN.com, which is available to fans with video subscriptions with Time Warner, Verizon, Brighthouse and Comcast.

After ESPN concludes its coverage of the game, tune in to BYUtv to see post game reaction on the field and at the press conference, as well as stats, highlights and analysis.

12:30 am MT (2:30 am ET) BYUtv Sports Game-Day Replay

After the postgame show watch the BYUtv version of the game as called by Dave McCann, Blaine Fowler and Robbie Bullough. Use #byutvsports to react to the game and BYUtv will use select tweets during its rebroadcast.
