BYU Football Media Day on June 27

PROVO, Utah - In preparation for the 2012 season BYU football will host its second annual Media Day on Wednesday, June 27 at the BYU Broadcasting Building.

In addition to many interview sessions attended by the media throughout the day, fans can expect a day filled with 16 hours of BYU football programming on BYUtv, including new live shows, rebroadcasts of previous specials, online chats, radio content and more.

Highlighting the day will be two live shows and an all new True Blue. Both live programs will be simulcast on ESPN3 in addition to BYUtv and www.byutvsports.com.

The first live show, The State of the Program, airs at 10 a.m. MT. and will feature head coach Bronco Mendenhall, athletic director Tom Holmoe and former BYU player and ESPN analyst Trevor Matich discussing the current team, the upcoming season and what to look forward to in 2012.

Following the first live show, True Blue: 2012 Football Preview, airing for the first time at 11 a.m. MT, takes a look at what the team has been doing since spring football ended and previews the 2012 season.

The second live show, The Bronco Mendenhall Era, airing at 2 p.m. MT, revisits some great moments from the first seven years of Coach Mendenhall's tenure at BYU. Mendenhall and some notable BYU players from the past seven seasons will discuss the incredible teams, plays and stories both on and off the field.

If you miss The State of the Program, The Bronco Mendenhall Era and True Blue: 2012 Football Preview during the day they will be rebroadcast later in the evening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. MT. and again from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. MT. They will also be available to watch again and again on www.byutvsports.com

Other shows will include a replay of the 2011 Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl, True Blue Signing Day and Spring specials and more.

In addition to BYUtv's programming throughout the day, byutvsports.com will be offering live video webchats with current and former players. There will also be constant social media interaction and prize giveaways via the BYU Football Blog, @BYUAthletics (on Twitter) and facebook.com/byufootball. BYU Radio will also be a part of the day with original content along with simulcasts of The State of the Program and BYU Football with Greg Wrubell and Marc Lyons. KSL will broadcast live from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. MT.
