PROVO, Utah - Both sides of the ball boasted highlights in another day in pads on day six of the BYU football spring practice.

Safety Mike Hague had a sack and the BYU secondary forced four-straight incompletions early to set the tone. Hague also had a sack on the final play of the day.

The offense came back with the biggest gain of the spring when Riley Nelson found Josh Quezada wide open off broken coverage. Quezada caught the ball five yards downfield before going down the sideline for a 48-yard gain. On the very next play, Nelson hit Cody Hoffman open in the back of the end zone for a 12-yard touchdown.

Hoffman had two receptions for 19 yards on the day.

Sophomore Paul Lasike reeled off three impressive runs in a row to start the next series, gaining nine yards before going for 16 and eight yards on the next two runs.

After the offensive gains, the defense finished the session strong with sacks by Riley Bushman and Hague sandwiching a three-yard run by Quezada.
