BYU to host "Salute to Servicemen, Servicewomen and Veterans"
PROVO, Utah – BYU Athletics, including members of the administration and the football team, will host a special tribute to the Armed Forces of the United States on Friday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m. MT in the Smith Fieldhouse.
BYU head coach Bronco Mendenhall, former Cougar tight end and current associate athletic director Chad Lewis and members of the football team will participate in the program. Lewis will speak about his Wounded Warriors experience climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro with four wounded war veterans.
The event will also feature musical numbers, including the hymns of the Air Force, Army, Marines and Navy.
The general public, especially current and former members of the armed forces, are invited to attend. BYUtv will also air the program on tape-delay immediately following the women’s basketball game against Duke at approximately 9 p.m. MT.
