Wagner Selected in CFL Draft

PROVO, Utah -- BYU linebacker Jadon Wagner was selected by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats with the 44th overall pick of Sunday’s Canadian Football League Draft.

A native of Lethbridge, Alberta, Wagner will forgo his senior season at BYU to begin his professional career in the CFL. He was picked in the sixth round.

Wagner started nine games for the Cougars in 2010 while appearing in 12 contests overall. The 6-foot-4, 246-pound outside linebacker totaled 38 tackles, seven tackles for loss and one sack while adding a pass breakup to help BYU's defense finish the year ranked No. 24 in the nation.
