PROVO -- BYU moved up in the national polls this week while remaining at No. 22 the BCS Standings.

The Cougars are ranked No. 18 in the USA Today Coaches’ Poll and Harris Interactive Poll and No. 19 in The Associated Press Top 25. Last week BYU was ranked 22nd in all three polls.

At 8-2 overall and 5-1 in the Mountain West Conference, the Cougars are one of three MWC schools in the national top-25 rankings while BYU's next opponent, Air Force, received votes in this week's Harris poll. With its win at New Mexico on Saturday, BYU achieved a perfect road record for the first time since 1984 and became the first team in program history to earn an 8-2 or better record four consecutive years.

The Cougars have been among the nation's top-25 teams during 31 of the last 32 weeks dating back to November 2007. BYU is 156-46 when ranked in the Top 25 and has won 25 of its last 30 games as a ranked team, dating back to 2006.

Fellow MWC member TCU remains at No. 4 in the polls and the BCS standings after its 55-28 victory over Utah on Saturday. The Horned Frogs received one No. 1 vote in the Harris poll. The Utes fall to No. 21 in the BCS, coaches' and Harris and No. 23 in AP. Last week Utah was ranked No. 16 in the BCS, AP and Harris and No. 14 in the coaches' poll.

Florida, Alabama and Texas remain the top three teams in the BCS Standings and AP rankings while the Longhorns again get the No. 2 nod over the Tide from the coaches' and Harris voters.

The highest ranked teams in the BCS Standings from each of the conferences include No. 1 Florida (SEC), No. 3 Texas (Big 12), No. 4 TCU (MWC), No. 5 Cincinnati (Big East), No. 6 Boise State (WAC), No. 7 Georgia Tech (ACC), No. 10 Ohio State (Big Ten), No. 11 Oregon (Pac-10) and No. 24 Houston (Conference USA). The Mid-American and Sun Belt conferences and independents are not represented in the current BCS Standings.
