BYU vs. Florida State to be Broadcast Nationally on Versus
PROVO -- The BYU football game vs. Florida State on Saturday, Sept. 19, will be televised nationally by the Versus television network at 5 p.m. MT.
DirecTV and Versus are currently involved in a contract dispute and Versus was dropped from the DirecTV lineup on Sept. 1, 2009. This dispute could be resolved at any time, but it is likely that Saturday’s game will not be available to DirecTV customers.
While it is unfortunate subscribers to DirecTV may not be able to see the game, it should be noted that Versus is still available in more than 67 million households across the country — including the Dish Network and dozens of cable systems, such as Time Warner, Comcast, Cox and AT&T U-Verse TV, etc.
