Hall Garners Conference Honors Again
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – BYU quarterback Max Hall has been named Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week after his performance during BYU's 54-3 win over Tulane. This marks Hall's sixth career player of the week honor.
The senior completed 24-of-32 passes for 309 yards and two touchdowns in just over three quarters of play as No. 12 BYU rolled past Tulane, 54-3, at the Superdome in New Orleans. The senior quarterback from Mesa, Ariz., led BYU to seven scores on eight possessions, including touchdown drives of 67, 38, 89, 80 and 73 yards. He also carried the ball three times for 15 yards. On the day, 11 Cougars caught passes from Hall, with seven catching at least two balls. Hall left the game with 13:07 to play in the fourth quarter and BYU leading 40-3. Hall is ranked in the top 10 nationally in three categories: passing, total passing yards and passing yards per game.
TCU's Jerry Hughes and Ross Evans were named Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively.
