Quarterback Riley Nelson Signs with Cougars

PROVO -- Head coach Bronco Mendenhall today announced the addition of quarterback Riley Nelson to BYU’s 2009 recruiting class.

“Riley’s an outstanding young man and football player, and we are excited to have him join our program,” Mendenhall said.

Nelson, a transfer from Utah State, has signed a Grant-In-Aid agreement with the Cougars and will join the team as a sophomore for fall camp. Riley recently returned from Spain where he served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
