BYU Football Media Guide Wins National Award
PROVO -- The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) recently announced the 1999 BYU Football Media Guide won the District 8 title for best all-around football media guide.
The BYU brochure, produced by Duff Tittle, Jeff Reynolds and Jared Gooch, was judged against football-playing universities from the Big West, WAC, Mountain West and Pacific-10 conferences. Overall, the 256-page media guide finished eighth in the nation, judged against 114 NCAA Division-I programs.
"Obviously we're pleased to receive this award," director of football media relations Jeff Reynolds said. "There are several people and many man-hours that go in to producing this annual publication. This is a great honor for our department, the BYU football program and the University."
Notre Dame won the national publication award, followed by Texas, Army, LSU, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, Kentucky and BYU.
CoSIDA is the 25-year-old national organization for more than 2,500 collegiate sports information directors around the country.
