Feterik Named MWC Offensive Player of the Week --

COLORADO SPRINGS -- For a second straight week, BYU senior quarterback Kevin Feterik has been named the Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Feterik paced the Cougars to a 34-13 win over then-ranked Colorado State, improving to 2-0 on the season and helping the Cougars climb to No. 17 in this week's Associated Press Top-25 Poll.

Feterik completed 28-of-37 attempts (.757) for 310 yards, including two touchdown strikes against the Rams. He connected with freshman Luke Staley on a seven-yard TD pass early in the second quarter to give the Cougars a 14-0 lead. With just over a minute left in the second quarter, Feterik found Jaron Dabney for a 15-yard TD reception, giving BYU a 21-0 halftime lead. Feterik was 17-of-22 for 202 yards in the first half and threw for another 108 yards in the second half. BYU hosts Virginia on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. (MDT). The game will be televised by ESPN2.
