BYU quarterback factory featured on Eli’s Places on ESPN+
Former New York Giants quarterback and Ole Miss All-American, Eli Manning made a visit to Provo back in mid-June and received an in-depth look at BYU’s rich football quarterback tradition from two Cougar Legends, Jim McMahon and Ty Detmer.
The two-time Super Bowl Champion and Super Bowl MVP spent a day in Provo recording an episode of “Eli’s Places,” which airs on ESPN+ beginning Wednesday, Sept. 6.
Manning’s visit to Provo centered around the legendary quarterbacks that came through the BYU quarterback factory and included one-on-one, in-depth interviews with Consensus All-American quarterbacks McMahon at LaVell Edwards Stadium and Detmer high above Provo on Y Mountain.
The show was produced by Omaha Productions, a media company owned by Peyton Manning, Eli’s brother. NFL Films oversaw the production of the episode, which runs about 20 minutes.
