Barrington receives two additional preseason All-America honors
PROVO, Utah — BYU junior offensive lineman Clark Barrington has been named to The Sporting News 2022 Preseason All-America Second Team as well as the Lindy's Sports Preseason All-America Second Team.
Barrington has now been selected preseason All-America by four organizations, having previously been named to the Phil Steele Preseason All-America First Team and Athlon Sports Preseason All-America Third Team.
The 6-6, 302-pound left guard started all 13 games for the Cougars in 2021 and was named Pro Football Network All-American Third Team at the conclusion of the season. Barrington, a two-year starter, was also named 2021 Pro Football Network All-Independent First Team and was part of the Pro Football Network Offensive Line of the Year.
Barrington also played in 10 games, starting five, as a freshman in 2019. The following season the Spokane, Washington, native started 10 games at left guard and was named to the 2020 Phil Steel All-Independent Second Team for his role in helping the BYU offense rank No. 3 in scoring (43.5) and No. 6 in total offense (522.2).
