PROVO, Utah — Brigham Young University and Utah State University today announced the schools have added four games to their current football series, extending the longtime rivalry through 2026.

The four additional games between the Cougars and Aggies will be played at Utah State in 2023 and 2025 and at BYU in 2024 and 2026. The in-state rivals are already scheduled to meet in Logan in 2021 and in Provo in 2022.

Three of the four new games are scheduled as Friday night contests. BYU will meet USU at Maverik Stadium in Logan on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023, and welcome the Aggies to Provo on Friday, Oct. 4, 2024. The Cougars return to Logan on Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, before hosting the Aggies in LaVell Edwards Stadium on Oct. 2, 2026.

BYU and Utah State have met 89 times in the long-running rivalry series played for the Old Wagon Wheel. The Cougars hold a 49-37-3 advantage in the overall series that dates back to 1922. Historically, BYU football has faced Utah State more than any other school except the University of Utah (94).

Kickoff times and broadcast plans for the games will be announced at a future date.
