BYU receiver Dax Milne was named a semifinalists for the 2020 Biletnikoff Award on Monday by The Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation, Inc. The Biletnikoff Award annually recognizes the most outstanding FBS receiver in college football from any position.

Milne, a 6-1, 190-pound junior, leads BYU with 55 receptions for 1,012 yards and seven touchdowns. He is currently averaging 101.2 yards per game and his 1,012 receiving yards ranks No. 7 nationally.

With six catches for 106 yards against Costal Carolina last Saturday, Milne became the 17th receiver in BYU history to reach 1,000 yards receiving in a season. His 1,012 yards currently ranks 15th all-time at BYU.

Milne is from South Jordan, Utah, and prepped at Bingham High School. He set career marks with nine receptions, 184 yards and three touchdowns in BYU's 43-26 comeback victory at Houston on Oct. 16, 2020. Milne has five 100-plus yard games this season and three other games with at least 89 yards.

Other semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award includes: Jonathan Adams Jr. (Arkansas State), Dyami Brown (North Carolina), Jaelon Darden (North Texas), Ty Fryfogle (Indiana), Elijah Moore (Ole Miss), Kyle Pitts (Florida), Amari Rodgers (Clemson), DeVonta Smith (Alabama), Tylan Wallace (Oklahoma State) and Marlon Williams (UCF).

The semifinalists, finalists and award recipient are selected by the highly-distinguished Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee, a group of prominent college football journalists, commentators, announcers, Biletnikoff Award winners and other former receivers.

Fred Biletnikoff, a member of the pro and college football halls of fame, was a consensus All-America receiver at Florida State University, and an All-Pro receiver for the Oakland Raiders. He caught 589 passes for 8,974 yards and 76 touchdowns in his 14-year Raiders career from 1965 through 1978. Fred was the Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl XI.

The 2020 Biletnikoff Award winner will be presented the Biletnikoff Award trophy by TQC Foundation Chairman George Avant, Jr., keynoter and College Football Hall of Famer Chad Hennings, and college and Pro Football Hall of Famer Fred Biletnikoff before 550 patrons at the Biletnikoff Award Banquet at the University Center Club at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee on Saturday, March 6, 2021.
