Instructions and protocols for fans attending the BYU Football game Saturday, Oct. 24
BYU football is excited to welcome fans back to LaVell Edwards Stadium for the game Saturday, Oct. 24, versus Texas State.
In an effort to ensure a safe stadium environment and provide the best possible game-day experience, BYU has provided the following instructions and protocols for fans attending the game.
- Tickets will be emailed on Thursday to fans who purchased tickets. The email will include instruction on where to park and which gate to use to enter the stadium.
- Gates will open at approximately 6:45pm.
- Masks are required.
- Anyone that considers themselves a medically high-risk individual is welcome to use Gates 2 or 12 to enter the stadium.
- If your phone supports Apple Wallet or Google Wallet you can load your tickets into your digital wallet and our ticket scanners will read the chip in your phone, similar to Apple Pay or Google Pay.
- No bags will be allowed, including clear bags. This is to limit the time people are exposed to each other while entering the stadium. Medically necessary items including diaper bags will be allowed into the stadium after being searched.
- Please sit in your assigned seat. This helps with keeping everyone physically distanced as well as contact tracing.
- Custodial will be cleaning high touch points continuously throughout the event.
- Please help reduce others exposure to germs by taking your trash to waste and recycling receptacles.
- Hand sanitizer is available at multiple locations throughout the stadium, including every restroom door.
- To help with physical distancing, every other restroom fixture is closed. Also, restroom traffic will be one way where there are two doors, one entry and one exit.
- Concessions will be available.
- Cash will not be accepted at concessions, BYU Store or the ticket office.
- Drinking fountains and water bottle refill stations will not be available. Each guest will be given one free bottle of water when entering the stadium.
- Some areas, such as the mezzanine level platforms, that are normally accessible to the public will be closed.
- Please avoid congregating in the stadium.
We look forward to seeing Cougar Nation at the stadium on Saturday and appreciate your willingness to follow protocol and keep everyone safe. Our goal is to provide a fun and safe environment in hopes that we might be able to increase attendance at future home games.
