BYU-Houston football game to change venues
PROVO, Utah — BYU and the University of Houston today announced the football game between the two schools, scheduled for Friday, Oct. 16 at LaVell Edwards Stadium, is being moved to TDECU Stadium in Houston.
The game will still be featured nationally on ESPN2, with kickoff time set for 8:30 p.m. CDT (7:30 p.m. MDT).
Due to issues regarding travel during the COVID-19 pandemic, Houston approached BYU about switching the order of the two-game series that was announced in 2017. Under the amended agreement, the second game of the series will be played in Provo at LaVell Edwards Stadium at a date to be determined.
BYU leads the overall series 2-0.
The change in venues currently gives BYU three road games in 2020 at Navy, Army and Houston, and five home games versus Troy, UTSA, Texas State, Western Kentucky and North Alabama.
