BYU and ESPN Joint Statement
BYU and ESPN have issued the following joint statement regarding plans to announce kickoff times and network designations for home football games during the season’s first three weeks and two weeknight games.
Together, BYU and ESPN have agreed to an extension beyond June 1 for determining the start time for the Cougars’ Sept. 12, 2020 home game vs. Michigan State and the previously announced Friday night home games vs. Utah State and Houston. These kickoff times and network designations will be announced at a later date as we all continue to prepare for the college football season.
A similar joint statement was also announced Tuesday on behalf of the FBS conferences, along with ESPN, CBS Sports, FOX Sports and their affiliated networks.
