PROVO – Six BYU football players were invited to participate in postseason all-star events in January, including two in action this weekend in Saturday's NFLPA Collegiate Bowl and the annual East-West Shrine game.

Defensive back Austin Lee will play in the East-West Shrine Bowl at 3 p.m. EST at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. The game will be broadcast on the NFL Network. Click here to read more about Lee's positive impact on others and how he received his Shrine game jersey.

On the other side of the country, fellow defensive back Dayan Ghanwoloku will be featured in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl from Pasadena, California, at the Rose Bowl at 7 p.m. EST/4 p.m. PST on the NFL Network.

The Cougars also have two players, wide receiver Aleva Hifo and linebacker Austin Kafentzis, participating in the Hula Bowl All-Star Game on January 26 in Honolulu. The game will include NCAA college football players from all divisions, along with international players from Japan, Canada, Australia, and the UK.

Wide receiver Micah Simon and defensive back Beau Tanner already participated in another postseason event, the College Gridiron Showcase and Symposium from Jan. 3-8 in Fort Worth, Texas. CGS showcases players through practices and a controlled scrimmage with professional coaches. Players also performed individual and team drills, participate in 1-on-1s, attended meetings and, in many cases, had the opportunity for personal interviews with scouts and executives.
