PROVO, Utah – BYU senior quarterback Tanner Mangum has been invited to play in the SPIRAL Tropical Bowl FBS All-American game on Jan. 13. The fourth annual all-star game will be played at Daytona Stadium in Daytona Beach, Florida, at 10 a.m. EST.

Mangum, who will participate on the American Team coached by Todd Littlejohn, totaled 6,262 passing yards and 39 touchdowns while completing 60 percent of his passes for the Cougars.  The 6-foot-3, 205-pound native of Eagle, Idaho, played in 34 games and earned starting opportunities during each of his four seasons in Provo while making 27 starts overall.

A two-time Davey O’Brien watch list selection and the 2015 Touchdown Club of Columbus Freshman of the Year, Mangum led BYU to an upset victory at No. 6 Wisconsin this past season while totaling 1,104 passing yards with six starts. Mangum served as a team captain for the Cougars the past two seasons.
