BYU conducted its final practice on Thursday for the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl while participating in the final full day of bowl activities and events in Boise, including the official press conference.

The Cougars face the Western Michigan Broncos on Friday at 2 p.m. MST at Albertsons Stadium in the 2018 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN.

BYU and Western Michigan started Thursday at the 2018 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl FCA Breakfast, joined by many members of the local community. NFL Hall of Fame member, Heisman Trophy winner and Notre Dame All-American receiver Tim Brown was the keynote speaker at the event conducted at the Boise Centre. BYU head coach Kalani Sitake and offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes also spoke at the event along with WMU head coach Tim Lester and wide receivers coach Ashton Aikens.

BYU then prepared for and conducted its final practice session in advance of the game and documented the day with a team photo. Coach Sitake and captains Sione Takitaki (Sr., LB) and Austin Hoyt (Sr., OL) represented the Cougars at the official Famous Idaho Bowl Press Conference at Allen Noble Hall of Fame at Albertsons Stadium. Thursday evening several dozen players attended the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl Mash Bash fan event at Grove Plaza along with the cheer squad and BYU band before the team settled into its regular pregame routine the night before a game.
