BYU arrives in Boise for Famous Idaho Potato Bowl

BOISE, Idaho – The BYU football team arrived in Boise, Idaho, Monday afternoon to begin the week of festivities prior to the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. 

The team's first activity after arrival was the Albertsons Tackle Hunger Project, a service project for both teams to benefit Idaho's local communities. 

Both teams worked together with Feeding Children Everywhere to produce packaged meals that will be distributed throughout Idaho. Sponsored by Albertsons, the inaugural event produced more than 40,000 meals that will be distributed through the Idaho Foodbank to local communities. The production of the meals will help ensure that working families, children and seniors receive nourishing food and a balanced meal during this holiday season.

As part of the event, one player from each team was presented with the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl Humanitarian Award. BYU’s Adam Pulsipher and Western Michigan’s Jamauri Bogan were honored for their exemplary work in their respective communities.

Following the service project, the Cougars returned to their team hotel for a team dinner and position meetings. The team will practice Tuesday morning and participate in additional bowl activities.
