Annual spring practice and scrimmage set for March 25

PROVO, Utah — BYU football will conduct its annual public spring practice and scrimmage at LaVell Edwards Stadium on Saturday, March 25. Free to the public, gates open at noon before the start at 1 p.m. MDT at LaVell Edwards Stadium.  

The practice/scrimmage will be televised live on BYUtv in addition to the radio broadcast on the IMG Cougar Sports Network. This year's annual BYUtv Spring Football Special will include live coverage from LaVell Edwards Stadium starting at 1 p.m. MDT. The yearly radio broadcast of the spring practice/scrimmage will be brought to fans live on the Cougar IMG Sports Network, which can be heard starting at noon MDT on KSL Newsradio 102.7FM/1160 AM and on BYU Radio/Sirius XM 143 and via the BYU Radio and BYUCougars apps.

The team practice will include warmup and individual drills, 7-on-7 work and 11-on-11 scrimmage sessions. The public spring practice/scrimmage is one of 15 practice sessions the team will conduct prior to spring drills concluding on March 31. The team also conducted a public practice in St. George on Friday, March 17.

BYUtv Spring Football Special LIVE
BYUtv will air its annual Spring Football Special LIVE from LaVell Edwards Stadium starting at 1 p.m. MDT during the team's practice and scrimmage. In addition to interviews with BYU coaches and players, BYUtv will provide live national coverage of the scrimmage with expert analysis and commentary on the progress of the team.  

Cougar IMG Sports Network Radio Broadcast
The annual radio broadcast of the spring scrimmage will be brought to fans live on the Cougar IMG Sports Network, which can be heard on KSL Newsradio 102.7FM/1160 AM and on BYU Radio/Sirius XM 143 and via the BYU Radio and BYUCougars apps. The Voice of the Cougars, Greg Wrubell, will be joined by analyst Marc Lyons and sideline reporter Nate Meikle to call the action. The broadcast begins at noon MDT featuring interviews with BYU coaches and players and will conclude with reactions and analysis following the scrimmage.

Gates, Concessions and Merchandise
Stadium gates 1, 3, 5 (west), 6 and 11 (east) will open at noon for the practice/scrimmage. Stadium concessions will be available throughout the event. The BYU Store will also be on hand to sell Cougar merchandise.

Tailgating
For fans wanting to enjoy some tailgating, the parking lot just west of the stadium will be open for tailgating starting at 8 a.m. MDT Saturday morning. 

Parking
Parking is free and will be available in the west, south and southeast lots next to the stadium. 

Cosmo Kids Zone
The Cosmo Kids Zone will be available for young fans to enjoy with their families from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. MDT prior to the spring practice and scrimmage. The Cosmo Kids Zone is located west of the stadium in the south side of the parking lot.
