SDCCU Poinsettia Bowl - Tuesday recap
SAN DIEGO – On the final day before the 2016 San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl, BYU football had its final day of activities and preparation for the matchup against Wyoming. The Cougars (8-4) and Cowboys (8-5) will play in Qualcomm Stadium at 6 p.m. PST on Wednesday, televised live on ESPN.
BYU head coach Kalani Sitake and a few players (Tanner Mangum and Butch Pau’u) stopped by the BYU Sports Nation set to chat with hosts Spencer Linton and Jarom Jordan. Following his appearance, Sitake participated in the Poinsettia Bowl press conference with Wyoming head coach Craig Bohl. Both the BYU and Wyoming teams attended a luncheon on the USS Midway for the official kickoff of the Poinsettia Bowl and a battle of the bands. Most inspirational players were named for each team, and the Cougars recognized senior captain Taysom Hill with the honor. After the event, BYU headed to Qualcomm Stadium for a walk through and team pictures.
