TEAM NOTES

The alumni flag was carried by former BYU defensive back Doug Henstrom (1992, 96-99). The team flag was carried by senior defensive lineman Graham Rowley and the special teams flag was carried by senior wide receiver Mitch Mathews.

Attendance: 108,940

The game's attendnace broke a BYU record for largest road crowd which was previously set on Sept. 10, 2011, at Texas (100,995).

Game captains against Michigan were senior defensive end Bronson Kaufusi, senior running back Adam Hiné and senior kicker Trevor Samson.

The last time BYU was shut out was in 2003 against Utah by the score of 3-0, snapping a streak of 143 games. Before that it was in 1975 in a 20-0 setback against Arizona State, marking today's shutout as just the second time in 504 games.

BYU’s 105 yards on offense are the fewest in a game since Sept. 28, 1974, when it had 92 against Iowa State.

The 55 passing yards in the game for BYU are the fewest since 2003 in a loss against Utah (41 yards).

BYU's 62 yards of total offense in the first half are the fewest in a first half since 13 total yards against No. 3 TCU in 2010. BYU trailed 17-0 at half in that game.

The 31-point deficit is the largest since a 32-point deficit at Boise State in 2014 (55-23 in 4th quarter).

PLAYER NOTES

Freshman running back Francis Bernard’s first carry went 13 yards for a first down.

Jonny Linehan had a career-high 11 punts.

Senior defensive back Michael Wadsworth tallied double-digit tackles for the second time this season with 10 tackles against Michigan. He had 11 stops against Boise State.

Sophomore defensive back Micah Hannemann had a career-high 10 tackles in the loss at Michigan.

Mitch Mathews extended his streak to 28 games with at least one reception.
