BYU started its fourth week of spring football practices with its 10th practice session on Monday morning.

"The practices have been going fast—the guys have been playing fast and for the most part we are playing hard," BYU offensive coordinator Robert Anae said Monday following practice. "We are throwing a lot of things at the players in terms of formations and schemes and it's the time to do it in the spring. We are to the point offensively to press the envelope and ask guys to do more things, take them out of comfort zones. They are doing the same thing on defense."

In 11-on-11 drills, Kurt Henderson was a highlight on offense with two touchdowns—a 50-yarder and another from 25 yards out. The senior receiver also grabbed a 10-yard TD from Taysom Hill during skeleton drills.

Hill also connected on a pass to junior tight end Bryan Sampson for a 40-yard gain and made another nice connection on a back-shoulder fade to Nick Kurtz for a touchdown. On the ground, running back Nate Carter scored on runs from three yards and 10 yards out.

Defensively, junior safety Kai Nacua and junior cornerback Garrett Juergens both came up with interceptions among the many plays made by Cougar defenders.

"Spring ball has been a good experience," junior linebacker Austin Heder said. "As a squad it's a great process, a grinding one, just developing that culture and getting everybody bought in to making plays and running around. Every day is a chance to get better and be out there with the guys."
